Philosophy

What are habits, and why are they so hard to change? French philosopher Félix Ravaisson thought that habits are actually the result of a fluid exchange between what’s inside and outside of our minds; this, he called, “our nature”. Ravaisson’s esoteric work can now help us see how human nature often ignores the bigger “nature” around us, an awareness that might give us the opportunity to rewire our delicate brains.

"If life is dissatisfaction, then to effortfully and restlessly engage with it is simply to be true to the idea of life itself."
