HILKA DIRKS works in and between text, graphics, art and internet. She is editor for theater and Berlinkultur at taz, researches visual culture for her PHD at UdK, and writes essays for Deutschlandfunk and various other outlet.
The Volksbühne opened it’s 2026/27 season with a free swimming pool. As much as it’s made truly public culture, the Volksbad reflects that contemporary politics can’t escape theater.
