Job opening: Sales Director

Spike Art Magazine is looking for an experienced and highly motivated person to join the sales team at level of: Sales Director.

As an ideal candidate you have an in-depth knowledge of the global contemporary art world, with direct contacts to art galleries, museums, public institutions, and cultural organizations, as well as auction houses, private art collections and foundations. Connections to fashion labels and brands are an additional plus.

Your contacts would be used to secure advertising sales in both print and digital media, bring in sponsorship deals, and sell artists editions, as well as confirming paid editorial with fashion labels and brands.

As Sales Director you are highly organized, can work on your own timeline while fulfilling tasks required, and feel confident in leading and inspiring a Sales team of four people, on a weekly basis.

Prior sales experience is compulsory when applying for this role. Applications with no evidence of sales experience will not be considered.

The position is freelance, flexitime and worked remotely, with attendance at some meetings required in person at the Spike Magazine office in Berlin. A sales target is required to be met each financial quarter. You will report directly to the Publisher.

Payment is based on commission, with an additional fee based on prior experience.
