Victoria Campbell’s relationship to the art world is largely that of an outsider: since 2010, she has worked within, against, and without art’s institutions and structures. She lives in an intentional community in the South Bronx and was one half of the late artist duo Campbell Carolan, and, in 2019, cofounded the mysterious art-adjacent failed tech startup Visit, Inc. Her interdisciplinary practice uses writing, performance, sculpture, and the internet as a means to politicize language and its operations on the social body. Campbell spends a large portion of her time practicing at a Sufi camp in New Mexico, very close to Jeffrey Epstein’s former ranch. While she didn’t know Epstein personally, she did learn martial arts from his driver. Find more of her on her personal wiki at viki.wiki.
