Whimsical writer and art critic Estelle Hoy will read from her latest book, followed by a reading hologram of Chris Kraus specially recorded for this occasion, a conversation with editor Antonia Carrara, and the release of Hoy’s writing fanzine, just sent to press by After 8 Books!
In saké blue, art twisted plots scramble cultural clichés, sex, activism, boredom, and the life of the mind. Bringing together satire and introspection, this collection of essays and short fiction is a timely reading for our times of disaster.
Hoy’s renditions of all-too familiar scenes are made more visceral than life with sparkling prose and a sly attention to life’s many shifting values that feels more than appropriate for anyone truly interested in art.
