Artist Talk: Karl Holmqvist

“NE ME QUITTE PAS”

For Spike’s thirteenth artist talk at Soho House Berlin, Karl Holmqvist will talk about the function of language and memory in visual arts and how repetition both retains speech and text and alters their meaning over time. It will draw on his non-narrative, non-linear practice of language – as patterns, sounds, and signs – in spoken-word performances, artist’s books, and room-size installations.

Q&A with Spike editor Christian Kobald to follow.

Tuesday, 17 September 2024 at 7pm
Soho House, Torstraße 1, 10119 Berlin
In the “Politbüro”
The bar will be open until 9pm

Please RSVP to christian.kobald@spikeartmagazine.com until 16 September.
