Forward Always

For Spike’s ninth artist talk at Soho House Berlin, Leyla Yenirce (*1992, Kurdistan) spoke to curators Elisa R. Linn and Lennart Wolff about interdisciplinary networking and a vast archive of appropriated images and sounds. Constructing “image machines” from samples of music, video, and performance, Yenirce asked how narratives of emancipatory togetherness might be mobilized and complicated to transcend today’s crisis of representation.
