Site Specificity As a Medium
For Spike’s 12th artist talk at Soho House Berlin, Sung Tieu provided an overview of her practice. Working across sculpture, drawing, text, sound, and video, her exhibitions mix extensive research and autobiography to address evolving structures and mechanisms of control. Her practice raises questions around equality, belonging, and personal sovereignty, often revealing how ideological systems and the politics they engender psychologically frame individual expression and agency.
