For Spike’s twelfth artist talk at Soho House Berlin, Sung Tieu will provide an overview of her practice, with an emphasis on site specificity as her medium. Working across sculpture, drawing, text, sound, and video, her exhibitions mix extensive research and autobiography to address evolving structures and mechanisms of control. Her practice raises questions around equality, belonging, and personal sovereignty, often revealing how ideological systems and the politics they engender psychologically frame individual expression and agency.
